Inside imaGen: We Foxes

By Kendall Buzzelli

ĭmáGen, a partnership through Wharton Center and MSU’s Department of Theatre, brings another new concert reading for the fourth year straight this weekend.

We Foxesa new musical by Ryan Scott Oliver, tells the story of Willa – an orphan looking for a new life in a small southern Missouri town. Willa begins to unravel the mysteries of this town and her new caretakers in a story about salvation and courage.

We had the opportunity to interview members of the cast and get a behind-the-scenes look at the show. The production brings together not only MSU actors, but two Broadway professionals and high school students. We interviewed professional actress Katie Thompson who plays Vesta Quimby about her thoughts on working with students on a new project like We Foxes.

We Foxes opens at Wharton Center tonight and runs through Sunday, September 24. Tickets are only $15 for the public and $10 for students, and are available online at whartoncenter.com or by calling 1-800-WHARTON. Like us on Facebook for more behind the scenes look at We Foxes and the inside scoop on what’s coming to Wharton Center this season.
