This past Friday downtown Lansing was even more vibrant than usual! That’s because Wharton Center’s presentation of ONCE THE MUSICAL and Downtown Lansing Inc. partnered to host a busking (street musician) contest! Our seven entries competed for donations from passerby and the judges’ love. The contest was great fun and raised over $580 for our Seats4Kids program. Here are some tweets documenting the day and all of its festivities!

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the competition – the musicians, judges and donors alike! You can see the winners, The 89th Key, performing in front of Wharton Center at Opening Night of ONCE THE MUSICAL on October 14. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @WhartonCenter. Thanks for the continued support, have a great day, and break a leg Broadway fans!
